People who abbreviate when typing

I hate it when I am addressed as ‘U.’ Is it really so hard to press two more keys and write you? Because is not the same thing as ‘cuz,’ before is not ‘b4,’ straight is not ‘str8,’ etc. People need to stop being lazy and embrace the proper spelling of things. Using proper spelling takes close to no time and effort but it effectively weeds out the lazy and the stupid. The only excuse I see as valid when it comes to abbreviating words is if someone have a shortage of fingers. Maybe a kitchen accident, shark encounter, or hunting accident in the past left that person with only 3 fingers. In that case, I would understand it if typing was more of an obstacle for him/her. But for the regular people with a plethora of fingers, you should be ashamed of yourselves….

Cheap Video Game Strategies

I play a decent amount of video games in my spare time and consider myself pretty talented. So when I am defeated by a less talented player because of a cheap move or technicality, I get infuriated. In a shooting game,waiting in a small crevice and ambushing opponents is a tactic known as camping. This is very offensive to me because it shows a lack of skill and style. Honestly, that’s for pansies. Even though that strategy may get more points it is cheap and deserves no respect. How can these people feel any sense of achievement when they know that the only reason they won was because of a lazy approach at the game. For example, playing any Call of Duty game online can be frustrating when you are faced with people who ambush to get a kill on you. Another great insult in the video gaming community is the group of people that use cheats in order to beat a game. Playing Grand Theft Auto can be made funner by using cheats; but the game should only be beat without the unfair help of cheats.

No one likes cheaters.

Incompetent Fast Food Restaurant Workers

As we live in the age of speed and simplicity it’s easy to see that the idea behind the fast food establishments is quite popular. Cheap, quick, and filling; these places offer an alternative to longer eating activities such as cooking or sit down restaurants. But when the most integral of part of the equation is subtracted, the situation can be devastating. When slow and stupid workers are in charge of the place, the simplicity and speed of the operation fails. That is why I am greatly annoyed at the fast food restaurants that are unreliable. It does not take much talent to press buttons and construct a burger so I don’t see how these people would ever function in real life. My friend once received a “cheeseburger” from Wendy’s with no meat. How can you forget to put the burger into the bun? The people working in there must be on some serious psychedelics to have noticed that. I guess the general theme of this post to point out that if we can’t even trust a person to get an order right or to put some salt on fries, we have a dark future ahead

Painted Ketchup and Mustard Bottles

It’s happened to all of us. While eating at a restaurant, you notice that you are in need of ketchup, mustard or any other sauce to complement your meal. As you reach over the table to grasp the bottle of sauce, you are sure that the bottle is full because of the color that it is painted. Many times this ends up in disappointment.

The ketchup bottle is painted completely red (mustard is yellow respectively) to show what sauce is contained inside. Unfortunately, that strategy of identifying contents only serves to deceive the poor hungry customer. By painting the bottles a solid color instead of leaving it as a clear bottle, the restaurant successfully tricks me every time into thinking empty bottles are indeed full. I get mixed feelings when this happens. I first feel sad and disappointed that I will have to stand up and walk around to obtain my desired sauce. Soon after that I get angry because it could have all been prevented if a clear bottle had been implemented. If you ask me, I would much rather have a clear bottle with a label stating the contents than have a colored bottle that doesn’t allow me to see if it is empty or not. Right?View This Poll

Waffle Shortage

Apparently because of certain interruptions in two out of the four Eggo factories around the nation, there will be a tragic shortage of Eggo waffles around the country until mid 2010. Seeing as waffles are an intergral part of my breakfast, I am upset at these circumstances. Pancakes don’t get the job done for me when accompanying a hearty breakfast. This shortage seems to have been caused by a stop in production at the plant in Atlanta, Georgia because of a storm and another stop in production at the plant in Rossville, Tennessee because of repairs. So for now, all we can do is pray that this ordeal is resolved swiftly so we can get back to eating our favorite brand of waffles. Hopefully this temporary shortage of waffles will show the American people the importance of waffles and help them appreciate waffles as a significant part of the breakfast experience.

One smelly person can ruin your whole day

Living in a country where soap and water is readily accessible makes me realize how there should be no excuse for smelly people to be sitting next to me in class. The fact that one doesnt have time to take a shower in the morning shouldnt even be an issue anymore. Deodorant and bottled scents are no longer for the rich. Even when looking back into major ancient civilzations, you can see that the Romans, Greeks, early Egyptians, etc. all had some form of perfume to mask body odor….So all those stinkers need to get with the damn program. Those foul-smelling people have the potential to ruin regularly smelling people’s days. I guess I’m just referring to the day that some smelly kid sat next to me in class and distracted me from taking proper notes. I was too busy trying to pinpoint what he smelled like to pay attention to the professor. So my message to you is to beware of the odor offenders.
